Hildegard Visions
Introduction
Christians believe that God exists, and this has led to the growth of religion by most countries in the world, believing that God exists. God’s existence is revealed by having churches, temples, mosques, and even shrines in traditional society. God’s presence is a significant role in which many people believe that there is eternal life after death. Although atheists (people that don’t believe in the existence of God’s presence) don’t reveal this as a genuine sense that there is God. The bible teaches on God as the creator, all-powerful, omnipotent, knows everything, and all sought of goods that come in the presence of God. Atheists don’t reveal this as real sense because as God is exposed to all good things he does, there are still wickedness and evil things again happening in the world. They believe that that there is no God because there is no perfect being, knows everything, and powerful.
Hildegard of Begnin
Saint Hildegard of Begin was born in a noble family. When she was 18 years, she became a nun at Monastery of Saint Disibodenberg. She wrote down the visions that she experienced when she was at the age of three years and took her ten years to write her scivias (description of her images). The visions that she wrote down were are clear life lessons that anyone can benefit from and also a sign of warning that anyone should be wary of. Pope Eugene encouraged her to continue writing the visions that she received. The views made her see people living sparks of God’s love for his people. She talked about the concepts and what was meant for them to accomplish. She said that a voice told her to articulate what she heard and saw in her visions. The visions were meant to teach people how to praise the Lord and trust the holy spirit. In short, this was to each of the ways of God. On this, she puts here visions into use to bring an excellent Christian living. She shows that all things grow in Christ, and Satan is desiccation. She also symbolized people who don’t believe in God (atheists) as the nature of sin or Satan.
The Vision to Begin Writing
She had visions when she was the age of three, and later God decided that she should speak out. She did not see the images when she was sleeping, dreaming, nor even hallucinating. The visions did not come out of her physical eyes or physical hearing. She heard them through the inner ears and symbolized that this was God’s will. At the age of accountability, a voice of divine spoke to her. The divine voice had chosen her to see great wonders. The view explained that her testimony would tell her to know their creator. At first, she was fragile to begin writing and was affected by many illnesses that came on her way. She had doubts about this until a disease came to her, and God taught her to listen. She got the courage to write the book and finished it in ten years. Visions were not imaginable; there were the God secret mysteries. Heavenly voices told her to hear and write and also see and speak.
The Vision of an Iron Mountain
She could see a mountain shining like iron. On the hill, sat God with sparks of bright light that could make her blind. On the side, two shadows looked like wings. In front of him, there was a figure covered with eyes. In front of it, there was a kid in white shoes and a tan tunic. Also, the mountain had small windows, and through them, she could she head of people. This symbolized that the mountain shining showed the nature of God’s kingdom. The gigantic wings symbolized God’s punishment, which showed that we should stay true in him. The figure represented respect we should have for God, and the child expressed poverty of spirit. The sparks of light represent the spiritual virtues that one should have. The small windows showed that we couldn’t hide anything from God. This vision shows that the people who have intelligence on the wings of faith should accept a warning in their souls, such as our case on atheists.
Sinning Soul
On the story of the sinning soul, teaches on the suffering of a wrong person. It talks about the person being robbed, blinded, and violated. The person was tortured in a way that he was made to eat with pigs and thrown outside to be stung with scorpions. After all this torturing of this person, he then repented and recognized the body sacred. All his enemies could not break the place he was in, even in attacking with arrows. This symbolizes that when someone believes in God, all things will change, and you need to trust in God and undo the wrong things. This is a lesson to teach on the ones who don’t believe in God will suffer.
The Vision of Anger, Hatred, and Pride
When anger tries to burn the body temple of God, I will look upon God in which passion never come across. I will also look to God’s peace in which spiritual virtues will come along and strengthen me with faith, and I will experience God calm of goodness. When hatred tries to end me, I will look upon the kind heart of God’s son and the pain that we went through. I will accept the thorns and control them to bring honor to my lord. When pride tries to erect me, I will cry to the lord that gave me life. Satisfaction is a serpent who wants to be higher than everyone else. I will come to God and to the righteous virgin that defeated pride. I will secure God’s foundation because there is no way a greedy wolf can harm me when I have humility on God.
The Apocalyptic Vision of the Five Beasts
Hildegard talks about this vision with five beats in the north. One was a dog that didn’t burn, a yellow lion, grey wolf, pale horse, and a black pig. She saw a hill with five peaks. All the beats were tied with black ropes on the hill summit except the wolf with a black and white line. She saw a man on the east side standing on a cornerstone where his maleness was there was a bright light. She also saw a woman standing on the altar of God. Where her femaleness was, there was eczema. There was a blackhead of a monster too. On the knees of that woman, there was blood as if the beast had beaten the woman. The head of that monster was struck down when it tries to climb towards the mountain heaven.
The head was struck dead with such energy that tumbled on the mountain. Then a horrible smelly cloud descended the hill that covered even the head of the monster. The people standing there were scared and started calling their omnipotent God to have mercy on them. They were asking God to forgive them and take them back. Then the feet of the woman shone brighter, and this symbolized that though of the man disasters that the world experience, but the people loved by God will never get destroyed. In the end, the woman will be strong and enjoy the sweet embraces of her beloved ones. Regarding the five beasts as the governments, the dog symbolized people who would be rude; the yellow lion symbolized people would start many wars, the pale horse symbolized sinful people, the black pig symbolized leaders with immorality and the grey wolf expressed people with deception. These beasts will appear when the sun sets in the west. But from the east came out the son of God who glows because his followers are endured with purity and faithfulness.
Conclusion
However, coming out of these visions, some people do not believe in God, and here are the reasons why some would be an atheist. Scientifically, atheists argue that everything In the universe can be explained without God as part of the explanation, then there is no point of saying there is God. Many people believe in believing that God does not exist because there is no evidence in God’s existence. Atheists say that we should believe in things that have evidence. Also, some people are atheists because of the way they are grown to their culture or educated and adopted to some beliefs. We should believe in God as indicated by some vision’s warnings wrote by saint Hildegard of Begnin that reveals that God is there.
