The University of Tampa was established in the year 1931 by Frederic Spaulding he then principal of Hillsborough high school. The university has been existing on an individual basis since then. The university offers a variety of courses starting from the bachelors up the master’s level. The university also has several majors, minors, and professional programs running concurrently. As it is familiar to any organization, Temba often experiences several challenges emanating from the internal and the external environment.
The key challenges facing the University of Tampa stem from the more significant challenges that have long characterized the United States’ higher education. Like most Colleges around the country, the University of Tampa has long relied on traditional models to generate revenue (Gurel, 2017). The private nature of Tampa means that the university majorly relies on the steady trickling of the students enrolling in different programs. This is, however, changes making it difficult for the traditional models to generate revenue for the university
Low student enrollment rates, together with higher dropouts, is the other significant challenge affecting Tampa University. The cost of higher education has continuously been increasing, making it almost impossible for students to enroll in courses offered at Tampa University. There is also an increasing trend for students who don’t complete college.

Tampa University offers a range of academic programs that are credited by the relevant professional bodies within the country. This implies that the student does not have to worry about what will come after he has finished school.
Tampa is recognized as an international university and currently enjoys different connections and partnerships with top universities around the world.
The university has a vibrant student and campus community; studying and learning within Tampa University has established families and union’s altogether.
The increased costs of higher education have significantly reduced the enrollment rates within the school. There is also the aspect of increased competition and the existing programs that lack precise career alignment.
The university lacks a brand and managing strategy. This makes it difficult to appeal to the other students.
